As mandated by State statutes, on an annual basis the Village is required to issue a report on its financial position and activity that is presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles of the United States of America and audited in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards by an independent certified accounting firm.
Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award
The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting is the highest form of recognition in the area of government accounting and financial reporting. Recently, the Village of Homer Glen received our 16th straight CAFR Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States (GFOA). The Village’s financial reports have been judged, by an impartial GFOA panel, to meet the highest possible standards. This award is an exceptionally important sign of the Village of Homer Glen’s ongoing commitment to financial integrity.
