Will County Sheriff's Office
The Village of Homer Glen and the Will County Sheriff's Office have an agreement that provides for police services to the Village. The Will County Sheriff's Office has proudly provided police services to the Village of Homer Glen since its incorporation.
The Will County Sheriff's Office strives to work closely with Mayor Yukich, the Village Board and the Village of Homer Glen's residents in the protection of life and property. The Sheriff's Office enforces all State laws and various Village Ordinances. The Sheriff's Office strongly encourages residents of Homer Glen to contact them for any police services.

Personnel
A full time staff is provided to the Village by the Sheriff's Office. This staff includes Deputies, Sergeants and a Lieutenant. The Homer Glen Sub-Station is not continuously manned, but messages may be left, and your call will be returned. If you need to speak to an officer please call the Homer Glen Sub-Station or either of the non-emergency numbers.

Will County 911 Now Accepts Text Messages
For anyone who needs help immediately, but can't talk to a 911 dispatcher, there's a new option starting Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Will County. Will County 9-1-1 is offering text-to-911 service for anyone within the county. Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile customers can text their exact location and the nature of their emergency to 911 and a dispatcher will respond.
If there is an emergency and you are unable to make a voice call, remember these steps:
- Know your location- Text your exact location
- Text what you need- Text what emergency help is needed- Police, Fire, Emergency Medical.
- Be Clear- Send a short message without abbreviations or slang
- Stay Calm- Answer questions and follow instructions from the 9-1-1 call taker.
Will County 9-1-1 is among the first jurisdictions in the Chicago suburbs to adopt the text-to-9-1-1 program. More information on 9-1-1 can be found on the Will County website.
Community Involvement
Members from the Will County Sheriff's Office are available and willing to attend Homeowner's Association Meetings, Senior Citizens Meetings and other local organization meetings to answer questions, concerns and provide basic crime prevention information.
