Groundbreaking at the Oak Valley Stormwater Improvement Project

On July 9th, Mayor Daley, Trustee Sharon Sweas, Village of Homer Glen staff members and residents from Oak Valley subdivision gathered for the groundbreaking of the Village’s latest stormwater improvement project. This is one of several major projects that the Village will be working on in our ongoing efforts to fix flooding problems within the Village of Homer Glen.

Details

The Oak Valley Stormwater Improvement project, including engineering, will cost approximately $180,000. It is expected that the construction phase of the project will take roughly 4 weeks to complete. Staff anticipates that by the end of August 150 truckloads of sediment, that has built up in the bottom of the pond, will be removed. Mayor Daley, members of the Village Board and Staff are happy to assist the Oak Valley subdivision with this important project.
