9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Join the Village of Homer Glen at the community's fifth annual Chalk Fest, Chalk-It-Up! on the sidewalks surrounding the park. Families, professional artists, amateur artists, students and anyone who just wants to chalk are welcome to leave their mark at the park! This contest is available to all ages. Please register below!

Register
Pre-registration and a $5 entry fee is required. Please note, competition space is limited. Each participant will be given one box of chalk and assigned a chalk-block work space. If participants would like to have a helper, they may, but they are limited to one extra person in their same age group, for a maximum total of two people working on one block.

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: "Best Use of Color," "Most Interesting Characters," "Most Creative Theme," and "Best Overall Effort" for each of the 7 to 10 and 11 to 15 age groups.
One prize will be awarded for the Adult age group.
Location / Parking
Heritage Park is located at 14240 W. 151st Street. The event takes place in the Active Core area of the park. Park on the north side of Heritage Circle and stop by the information tent to check in.
What to Bring
We recommend that participants bring a towel, hat, sunscreen, bottle of water and a snack. Participants are also welcome to bring extra chalk, chalk pastels and blending tools if they wish. Absolutely no paint will be allowed, of any variety.
Weather
All attempts will be made to hold the chalk art contest. In the event of inclement weather, please check the Village of Homer Glen website for notice of cancellation.
Event Schedule
9:00 - 9:30 a.m.: Artists check in at the registration tent.
(Artists who have pre-registered must check-in by 10:30 a.m. After that time, their square may be given away.)
9:30 a.m. - Noon: Artists will be creating their masterpieces. Individuals are welcome to come view them at work.
12:30 p.m.: Awards ceremony
