current permit requirements.
General Information
A permit is required for installation of both above-ground and in-ground
swimming pools.
It is important that you also contact the
Building Department for updates to the Zoning Ordinance that may have been made to swimming pool requirements.
Above-Ground Permit: $100
In-Ground Permit: $300
When applying for a swimming pool permit, a plat of survey is needed to show
where the pool will be located.
Attach a brochure with a picture of the pool and filter you are installing or
having installed. You must have either a 5 foot high fence around your yard or
fencing around the pool.
It is important that you also contact the
Building Department for current swimming pool requirements.
Attention Contractors!
Contractors are required to register directly with the Homer Glen
Building
Department.
