The Illinois and Michigan Canal was opened in 1848 and spans from Chicago to LaSalle/Peru. The Canal Corridor Association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, works to preserve history, protect nature and open space, and create destinations where people can learn and have fun in the I & M Canal National Heritage Corridor.
The purpose of the presentation is to raise awareness about the Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor and to increase participation in the Canal Alliance.
