Elected as Mayor in 2007, Jim Daley has been involved in Homer Glen and the regional community on both a personal and professional level for more than two decades.  He was an integral part of the successful effort to incorporate Homer Glen, and his tenure as mayor has been marked by leadership that has championed fiscally-sound, government-lite policies that have brought common sense progress to Homer Glen.

He earned his B.A. in Political Science and Criminal Justice from St. Mary's College in Winona, Minnesota.  He is the father of three children, and is married to Denise, mother of three.

As a 24-year resident of the community, Mayor Daley raised his three children in Homer Glen, and has been deeply involved in a number of community organizations.  He is a former Republican Party Precinct Committeeman, and served on the Homer Township Park and Recreation Committee and the Homer Township Emergency Management and Public Safety Committee.

Mayor Daley previously served as the First Vice President of the Homer Founders Club, and was awarded the organization’s Member of the Year (2004) and Business Man of the Year (2004).  He was one of the organizers of the Committee to Incorporate Homer Glen, as well as an organizer of the successful 33c District School Referendum.

Mayor Daley also previously was active in the Homer Stallions Youth Football League, serving terms as President (5 years), Treasurer (2 years), Vice President (1 year) and Coach (11 years).

As President and owner/ manager of Daley Construction, Inc., Mayor Daley has had experience with Homeland Security on residential and water supply security and has been responsible for managing sewer, water and roadway infrastructure as partner of a Senior Housing Community.  He is also a retired member of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange where he worked as a financial market expert for 14 years.
