Cleanup Event a Success!
On Saturday, October 26th, the Village of Homer Glen and the Highway Department partnered with 14 volunteers from the Lake Travis High School (LTHS) Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program and Boy Scout Troop 63 to cleanup Long Run Creek. Wearing boots and yielding chainsaws, volunteers and Highway Department workers removed debris and garbage from residents’ creeks and piled them on the curb for pickup. The event was a great success and was a great 1st step in cleaning up the creek. A special thanks to the LTHS Air Force JROTC and Boy Scout Troop 63 for all their hard work in cleaning up our creek!
