Becoming environmentally conscientious can easily be followed by using the 3 "Rs".

  • Reduce waste by cutting back on consumption and aiming for zero waste.
  • Reuse items for as long as possible, for many different uses, by as many people as possible.
  • Recycle paper, plastic, glass, metals, organics and textiles.

Collection of nearly all types of household chemicals,hazardous materials and liquids. All participants must make an appointment. There is a limit of 15 gallons of paint and 15 fluorescent light bulbs or tubes per vehicle and identification required. This event is open to all Will County residents and all residents of any communities partially within Will County.

Will County Land Use Department periodically sponsors various recycling collection events, such as household hazardous waste, tires, books, residential electronics, and athletic shoes. Visit their website for the most current information
