Will the Village plant a new tree in my parkway?: Yes. Please contact the Village at (708) 301-0632 if you would like a tree in your parkway. We will send the Village Arborist to inspect the location. If conditions for a new tree are satisfied, we will plant a new tree.

1. The tree in my parkway is dead. Who do I call?: If you believe the tree in your parkway is dead or may be dying, call the Village at (708) 301-0632. Our Village Arborist will inspect the tree and verify its condition. If it needs to be removed, the Village will make arrangements with the Homer Highway Department to remove the tree.

2. Will the Village plant a new tree in my parkway?: Yes. Please contact the Village at (708) 301-0632 if you would like a tree in your parkway. We will send the Village Arborist to inspect the location. If conditions for a new tree are satisfied, we will plant a new tree.

3. Does the Village have its own post office?: No. All mail for Homer Glen is routed through the Post Office in Romeoville. General Post Office needs can be handled at the Lockport or Orland Park Post Office. Meijer located at 14169 S. Bell Road also offers basic post office services.

4. My street light is out. Who should I report it to?: Streetlight outages can be reported to the Village of Homer Glen at (708) 301-0632.

5. Does the Village have its own Police Department?: No. The Will County Sheriff’s patrol and protect the Village of Homer Glen. The Will County Sheriff’s have an unmanned substation that is connect to Village Hall. Officers are not there often, it is primarily used for report filings and interviews.
