Village of Homer Glen Hires Interim Village Manager

The Homer Glen Village Board is pleased to announce that Anne Marie Gaura has been named Interim Village Manager. The Village Board appointed Ms. Gaura at the August 22, 2018 Board Meeting, and she will assume responsibilities on September 4, 2018.
Ms. Gaura joins the Village with over 25 years of progressive experience in local government management and most recently served as the Interim Village Administrator for the Village of Gilberts. Prior to that, Ms. Gaura served as City Manager for the City of DeKalb. Gaura’s experience includes twelve years as Village Manager in Montgomery and interim management positions in Schaumburg and Buffalo Grove.
Mayor George Yukich said that Gaura’s experience with economic development and business recruitment set her apart from the other candidates. “The board is focused on growing our sales tax revenue,” Mayor Yukich said, “and we believe Ms. Gaura has the ability to help us accomplish that. We are very excited to work with her.”
