Road Improvements to Route 6 between Haas Road and Spring Meadows Drive will begin May 4. There have been issues with seasonal flooding on Route 6. IDOT will widen and raise the road to correct and increase the drainage that flows under it.
Construction will begin on Monday, May 4, with flagger controlled lane closures. They will build a temporary side road, and beginning in June, this section of Route 6 will be down to one lane for the rest of the construction season of 2020. The traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic lights.
