The Village of Homer Glen is kept safe with the services provided by six first responder agencies:
- Homer Glen Emergency Management Agency
- Homer Township Fire Protection District
- Mokena Fire Protection District
- New Lenox Fire Protection District
- Northwest Homer Fire Protection District
- Will County Sheriff’s Office
We are asking residents and businesses to join us in showing appreciation to our first-on-the-scene responders this week. Please say thank you when you come in contact with a firefighter, police officer, or Emergency Management Agency volunteer. Or, send a thank you card or photo expressing your appreciation to mediarelations@homerglenil.org, mail/drop off at Village Hall, 14240 W. 151st Street, Homer Glen, IL 60491. Each agency will be recognized at the Village Board meeting on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Thank you notes, cards, and emails will be placed on display at the Village Hall.
At the Village Board meeting on July 22, 2020, Mayor George Yukich and the Village Board proclaimed July 19-25 "First Responders Week" in the Village of Homer Glen. Homer Township Fire Protection District, Mokena Fire Protection District, New Lenox Fire Protection District, Northwest Homer Fire Protection District, Village of Homer Emergency Management Agency, and Will County Sheriff’s Office were presented with a
copy of the Proclamation.
