On March 17, Will County Board members voted to authorize up to $275 million in bonds to pay for a new courthouse, a sheriff's facility and a health department. Will County residents have the option to weigh in on whether the County should borrow the money. A public hearing regarding the bonds is scheduled for April 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the Will County office building, 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet. Residents also have the opportunity to file a petition with the Will County Clerk to put the bond issue on the November 8 ballot.
