The road contractor is set to switch the traffic pattern to the south side of the Homer Glen corridor this Saturday, August 4 (Stage 2 switch). Eastbound traffic will begin to drive the new pattern starting at around 10 a.m. Striping of crossovers happens next, and the switch for westbound traffic starts at around 1 p.m. The traffic switch will take the full day. Will County Sheriff is on call to assist the Saturday traffic switch.
The road contractor has scheduled remaining Stage 1 driveways for completion over the next 2 weeks (8/6-8/17). The driveway work will progress from west to east along the corridor. Lane closures will be necessary for the driveway work.
The Village continues to coordinate closely with the IDOT management team to mitigate impacts as much as possible. The Village will post updates as we receive them.
