On Monday, June 8, Enbridge Energy will start a maintenance repair dig at MP 434.0756. This location is along the south side of Yorkshire Dr., between Suffolk Ct. & Carlton Ln. in the ComEd ROW. The existing sidewalk, on the south side of Yorkshire Dr. will definitely be closed to walking traffic. The auto traffic along Yorkshire Dr., for safety concerns, may also be closed. This procedure will be determined as the dig starts. The contractor will try to keep one lane of traffic open, if it does not interfere with safety issues. Representatives from Enbridge notified the Village that they knocked on doors in the area to notify residents. Enbridge has two (2) future digs within the Village of Homer Glen. One of the digs is at MP 434.8087, which is located on Homer Township property. The second dig is at MP 435.6892, which is located on Will County Forest Preserve property. Enbridge has a permit from the Forest Preserve and must complete this dig by July 15, per the permit.
