[ARCHIVED] Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off on March 14

Household Hazardous Waste Event Flyer 03-14-2020

The Village of Homer Glen together with the Will County Land Use Department Resource Recovery and Energy Division will host a residential hazardous waste drop-off event on Saturday, March 14. Drop-offs are to be made by appointment only.

Bring unwanted household chemicals such as oil-based paint, stains and varnishes, oil, antifreeze, old gasoline, brake fluid, pesticides, fertilizers, cleaning products and more to this one-day collection event. Mercury and most mercury containing items are accepted. Other items to be accepted include: pool chemicals, rechargeable batteries, lead acid batteries, compact fluorescent lights, aerosol products and lawn chemicals.

There is a limit of 15 gallons of paints and stains and 15 fluorescent light bulbs or tubes per vehicle.

The County will be accepting appointments through the morning of March 13. To make an appointment go to www.willcountygreen.com or call 815-727-8834.

This event is free of charge to Will County residents. Identification will be required.
