151st Street Expansion

  • Project Description: 151st Street Expansion will widen the existing 151st Street from two lanes to three lanes providing a dedicated center turn lane for eastbound/westbound traffic. The project will resurface and reprofile existing 151st Street and include a closed drainage system utilizing curb and gutter.
  • Current Status/Update: (5/7/2025) - Phase II engineering design is underway.

Hero's Trail - West Extension

  • Project Limits: Coachman Lane to Heatherwood Drive
  • Anticipated Start Date: June 2025
  • Project Description: Installation of a 10ft wide multi-use asphalt path within the ComEd right of way. The proposed path will connect to the existing path in Heritage Park and run north via a marked, on-street path along Coachman Lane to the ComEd right of way. The path will then continue east along the ComEd right of way and will terminate at the existing Hero's Trail path at Heatherwood Drive.
  • Current Status/Update: The project has been substantially completed, only minor punch list and restoration items remain.

Pine Hill Drainage Improvements

  • Anticipated Start Date: 7/21/2025 
  • Project Description: Storm sewer installation along the east side of Pine Hill Drive from the Chelsea Ct to 167th Street. Ditch and outfall regrading and resurfacing. Installation of new concrete culverts under Kensington Drive to improve outfall conveyance.
  • Current Status/Update: Project has been substantially completed. Minor punch list and restoration items remain.

Stonebridge Park Drainage Improvements

  • Construction Management: Village of Homer Glen
  • Engineering: Village of Homer Glen
  • Project Limits: Stonebridge Park
  • Anticipated Start Date: Anticipated start in summer of 2025. 
  • Project Description: Storm sewer inlet and underdrain installation around the existing tennis courts to alleviate a long standing drainage issue in the park.
  • Current Status/Update: (7/18/2025) - Contract has been executed. Scheduling start date with the contractor.
